About

I came up through industrial design and research at the University of Kansas, and I have spent over twenty-five years being handed the ambiguous half of hard technology programs.
Microsoft first, where I authored the three-year vision for Halo Waypoint and the entire Fall 2012 release was generated from it. Then Teague, where in-cabin ethnography on the 777X became spec-level requirements for the program and the first supplier keynote in the history of Boeing's ACE event. Then Blue Origin, where I founded the company's first Experience Design organization, wrote the commercial astronaut experience spec, and was selected for the first crew rehearsal as Astronaut 6. Then Meta Reality Labs Research, running a group chartered to explore input past the roadmap horizon. Then I founded Reconciled, raised a pre-seed, took it to nine enterprise customers, and sold it to LaborEdge in April 2026.
Design and research are where I started, which is why I get handed the front half: the part before anyone knows what to build.

Advising Ignition Point Labs, a national network for deep-tech commercialization founded by two people I hired at Blue Origin. Writing Design for Human Affairs. Rebuilding TRENDENCY for 2026 around adaptive humans in intelligent systems. Three personal AI builds, each taken to a kill-or-keep decision. Looking for the next room where the problem is not written down yet.
